Crisis rocks Lagos APC as Fashola, Banire produce parallel APC excos

A faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos state has held a parallel state congress at the Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja, which is led by Fouad Oki, the former campaign Director General of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, is the leader of Broom Movement of Nigeria.


The Anti-Tinubu APC group is said to be sponsored by Former Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola and Muiz Banire, APC national legal adviser.

Notable party leaders who are part of the group include serving House of Assembly member, Hon. Omotayo Oduntan (Alimosho ll); Chief Olu Bakare, former Commissioner, Hon. Sunmonu, Alhaja Aminat Idera, among others.

The faction claimed that the congress  is monitored by the State Congress Committee sent by the party’s National headquarters and representative of  Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC).

Mr. Banire who is one of the leaders supporting the parallel congress claimed that delegates are selected from the 20 Local Governments as stipulated in the constitution of Nigeria.

He further noted that his group will not surrender Lagos state to those who only want to keep enriching themselves without the interest of the masses, saying that they will do everything possible to truncate the continued reign of Tinubu in Lagos.

Rosatom's TVEL, AllWeld Nuclear, industrial agree to cooperate nuclear backend area

Allen Atwiine, Uganda  The TVEL JSC, Managing Company of Rosatom's Fuel Division, and AllWeld Nuclear and Industrial, a South African firm, have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation which is focused on decommissioning and radioactive waste (RW) management at nuclear facilities in South Africa.
