The winner of the June 2, 2018, bye election held in the Ibarapa State constituency of Oyo State, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party has been sworn in on Thursday, June 28, 2018.
Hon.Ogundoyin, is one of the sons of late industrialist from Eruwa, Chief Adeseun Ogundoyin.
He won the election conducted by the Independent Electoral Commission(INEC) to fill the position rendered vacant by the death of the late Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Michael Adeyemo, a lawyer who died on April 27, 2018 after a brief illness.
Ogundoyin defeated candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) Mr. Olukunle Adeyemo, a brother of the late Michael Adeyemo with 6,277 votes.
