#EkitiDecides: Dr.Kayode Fayemi speaks about his victory in Ekiti State election


The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced Dr.Kayode Fayemi, a candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) as the winner of the Governorship election held on Saturday, July 14, polling 197,459 votes against, candidate of Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP), Professor Olushola Eleka's  178,121 votes.



The official announcement was released and announced by INEC's Returning Officer, Idowu Olayinka in Ado Ekiti on Sunday.

Speaking after he was declared winner, Dr. Kayode Fayemi in his acceptance speech said, "Four years ago, I was the first to come out and accepted defeat.

"Restoration of Ekiti

" Right from today you will notice, calm, civility, respects and decorum would be restored to this land.

"We lost value in Ekiti and we have restored it.

" This election is not about Ekiti people, it is about the people of Nigeria.

"I may not have answers to all the problems of Ekiti , but I will work with my team to re-build Ekiti again.

" I can't do this alone , I need inclusive governance," he said when speaking with newsmen on Sunday.

Ogun State Governor to conduct groundbreaking for reconstruction of Lagos Toll-Gate-Sango-Abeokuta expressway on Friday Aug 23

..as Craneburg continues interim repairs on Ilepa , Bosun , Pakoto, Ifo, Ewekoro, Itori, and Obada area Oredola Adeola Relief is in sight for motorists on the Lagos-Ota-Abeokuta Expressway, as Craneburg, the contracting firm, has commenced the much-anticipated reconstruction of the heavily trafficked route. The official groundbreaking ceremony for the project is scheduled for Friday, August 23, and will be led by Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun. The Contractor , Craneburg Construction Company Ltd, began mobilizing its equipment to the site about 10 days ago, initiating palliative measures on one side of the road to ensure it remains passable while full-scale reconstruction commences on the opposite side.
