Okoro Emmanuel, creative director of the fashion brand Emmy Kasbit, who produced the jacket worn by Mrs Theresa May, UK Prime Minister on her official visit to Nigeria on Wednesday.

In a recent tweet, Emmanuel said, “ I was honoured to Have The British Prime Minister @TheresaMay Wearing A Custom Jacket From Our Spring Summer 18 Collection.

Okoro who was the lucky recipient of the Lagos Fashion Week, Fashion Focus Fund powered by FETSP. wallet, in a recent interview, said, “ Emmy Kasbit was launched in January 2014, as an ethical fashion brand birthed out of my passion to clothe the unconventional man and woman who believe their outfit is deliberate and not accidental.”

“I am a self-taught designer with a lot of internships under my belt. That has really helped me. I have worked under established designers and production houses so I had the experience before starting my brand.”

2019 Hajj: Six Nigerian pilgrims die in Saudi Arabia

A middle aged woman, pilgrim from Lagos State, slumped and died in the early hours of Sunday morning in Mecca during the devil stoning ritual at Jamarat Aqaba, outside Mina, thereby bringing the number of Nigerian pilgrims that have died in this year’s Hajj in Saudi Arabia to six(6). The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria confirmed the death of the Nigerian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia .
