Nollywood actors, musicians join Buhari at launch of Together Nigeria group in Abuja


Some Nollywood actors and musicians on Wednesday joined President Muhammadu Buhari at the launching of the Together Nigeria events organised by the Buhari Support Organisation which held at the State house conference hall, Abuja.



Also at the event are Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun, Governor Al-Makura Tanko of Nasarawa State, Wife of the President Mrs AIsha Buhari, Wife of the Vice President Mrs Dolapo Osinbajo and HRH Igwe Maduabuchi Nevobasi Igwe Omeluenyi 1 of Aguneese, Ezeani III of Mmaku.
In his address during the launch of the group, President Buhari expressed delight at seeing people from different backgrounds coming together to support his reelection bid.

He said, “ I am particularly happy to be here face to face with some of our celebrities whom I only see on television. This event once again reminds me of our political struggles over the years and the support I enjoyed from many support structures such as The Buhari Organization (TBO) and Buhari Support Organization (BSO). I am happy that today we are not only celebrating our election victory but our numerous land mark achievements.



“I have listened and I acknowledge with delight the story of Buhari Support Organization (BSO) and I commend the plan to reorganize and reposition the organization towards the forth coming election and beyond. This has once again given me further encouragement, hope and optimism in our political journey.

“ I acknowledge the over whelming support I enjoyed from individuals and organizations across the country over the years. Some of you may be feeling disappointed because we have not been able to please everyone. I would like to assure you that this time hard work and loyalty will be rewarded aadequately” President Buhari disclosed.

He however commended the TOGETHER NIGERIA Group for educating the world about his good work and achievements. He also praised the celebrities for projecting the image of Nigeria globally and their contributions to the development of the entertainment industries.

Oredola Adeola Wikimedia Nigeria Foundation has honoured Mr. Folorunsho Coker, Director-General of National Tourism Development Commission (NTDC) and Kayode Akintemi, Managing Director, Plus TV Africa, with Distinguished Personality Award for their contributions to the growth and development of open knowledge in Nigeria.
