Reekado Banks quits Mavin records, launches Banks record

Award Winning songwriter and performer, Ayoleyi Solomon, fondly called Reekado Banks, has announced his exit from Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records, and has launched his new record label, BANKS MUSIC.

According to the "katapot" crooner, the last five years have been the most blissful years of his career.

He said, “The journey has been extremely wonderful and filled the best experiences. I have learnt that family is not just about blood ties but love, sacrifices and friendship that exist among its members.”

Reekado further disclosed that Don Jazzy took him in and treated him like his own son. He said, “I will be eternally grateful to him for sacrifices he made towards the growth of his career.”

He further revealed that he remained ecstatic about what the future holds.

Speaking about his next move, the music star revealed that his new music label which has been in the works for some years now, would serve as a platform we would now use to promote his great music for the fans.

Further revelation shows that Probot Digital, a creative agency situated in Lagos state, will handle all business and management roles for Reekado and the new label

2019 Hajj: Six Nigerian pilgrims die in Saudi Arabia

A middle aged woman, pilgrim from Lagos State, slumped and died in the early hours of Sunday morning in Mecca during the devil stoning ritual at Jamarat Aqaba, outside Mina, thereby bringing the number of Nigerian pilgrims that have died in this year’s Hajj in Saudi Arabia to six(6). The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria confirmed the death of the Nigerian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia . Dr Ibrahim Kana , Chairman, National Medical Team, released the figure in Madinah from the commission ’s National Medical Team Electronic Health Medical Records.
