Benue State Govt. plans to demolish City Bay Park barely two months after takeoff




The Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has reportedly ordered the Benue State Urban Development Board (UDB) to demolish the City Bay Park, Makurdi, Benue state, for breaching the state's urban development laws.

Recall that the world class tourism &hospital park was commissioned for public use in December 7, 2018. It is managed by one Architect Achado Asema, who is also an All Progressive Congress (APC) party chieftain.




The property, it was gathered , was released to Architect Achado by the administration of former Benue State Governor, George Akume to use for 35 years.

The park which is the biggest amusement and relaxation park in Benue state, houses an event center with 2000 sitting capacity, a garden with WiFi available, shopping center,  sky lounge and African food spot, Kiddies Arena for Children’s Recreational Activities and birthdays,

The Editorial gathered that Arch. Achado, who later got wind of the planned demolition immediately approached the court to restrain the UDB from going ahead with the planned demolition. The case is now before the court.
