Most comments against President Buhari are from Churches – Buhari's spokesman

Femi Adesina, spokesman to President Muhammadu Buhari, has revealed that most of the comments against the Buhari’s administration are from the Churches in the country.

He disclosed this at the weekend , while addressing participants at the meeting organised by the Christian Press Association of Nigeria (CPAN).

Presidential spokesman, despite the criticisms,  called on Christians to pray for their leaders. According to him, “How frequent do you pray for your leaders and how much support do you give them? Instead of criticising people in government and judging them, pray for them.”

“Before the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, the late Ocholi, died, we had more Christians in the cabinet than Muslims and after his death, the number became equal…Unfortunately many of the comments I have heard against the government are from the church,” Adesina said.

The SA Media & Publicity to President Buhari however charged Christians in governments and other public officers  to be living examples.
He said, “Let your light so shine so that people can see your good works, that is what the Bible says. So, working with government should help you to affect a larger number of people for God.”

Recall that Christians in the country have at several occasions called on the administration to address security issues particularly aimed at Christians in the country.

There have been petitions from Christian bodies especially, Christian Association of Nigerian ( CAN) that Boko Haram has killed more than 20,000 Christians and Muslims and displaced millions in the past 10 years, in a move to establish national Sharia law. ilitant Fulani herdsmen have joined Boko Haram in its violence in recent years, reportedly killing thousands.

It took years for the British public to accept Camilla as Charles’ new girlfriend and then wife in 2005, following the death of Diana, Princess of Wales. But over the decades, fans have warmed to the Duchess and credit her with supporting the future king and becoming his rock.     As Charles and Camilla celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary last weekend, let’s take a look at their enduring love story, which started in the seventies…   A chance meeting at a polo match in 1970 marked the beginning of Camilla Shand’s relationship with Prince Charles. The two – both aged 23 – began dating, but their romance cooled when the future King was called away on nav...
