Trouble in Ogun as APM followers pelt Oshiomole, Dapo Abiodun with sachet water at Buhari's campaign flag off

Supporters of the governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement in Ogun State, Hon Adekunle Abdulkabir Akinlade, have pelted the Adam Oshiomole, the All Progressive Congress (APC) Chairman and Dapo Abiodun, Governorship Candidate of APC, with sachet water at the campaign flag off of President Muhammadu at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, in Kuto Abeokuta held on Monday.

Before the arrival of the President , followers of Triple A and the party have been so loud in the stadium, as thousands were seen raising their three fingers up in solidarity with Akinlade.

They were however enraged when Oshiomole described some members of the party as hypocrites for their involvement in anti party activities by supporting other Akinlade the Governorship candidate of APM.

The APC National Chairman during his speech, affirmatively asked members of the party to vote for President Buhari in February 16, and Dapo Abiodun on March 2, 2019.

The statement however did not go down well with the aggrieved supporters who started booing and pelted sachet water at him,  until when he was ushered back to his seat by the security operatives.

This led to a break in the proceeding of the campaign. Governor Amosun hurriedly rushed to the stage and persuaded the followers to be calm and give honour to President Buhari who was the guest of the day.

The followers later obeyed him, but were later angry when President Buhari raised Dapo Abiodun's hand up as the APC Governorship flagbearer of the party in the March 2, Gubernatorial election.

In his address , President Buhari particularly asked the followers to vote for him in February 16 Presidential election but asked them to vote for the candidate of their choice without persuasion during the March 2, Governorship election in the state.

This approval got the overzealous crowd excited.
