Abba Kyari defends birthday parley with MC Oluomo

Abba Kyari, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) commanding the IGP's intelligence response team has defended the photo-ops with Musiliu Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo, a leader of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Lagos state chapter, who joined a host of others to celebrate him on the occasion of his birthday on Friday.

Abba Kyari, who recently turned a year older, was hosted to a surprise birthday dinner with friends and colleagues in Lagos.

The social media was awashed with condemnation of the "unholy"union between the crime buster Abba Kyari and MC Oluomo due to his 'reputation'.

Meanwhile, DCP Kyari, in his reaction said “ My dear friends, i understand some persons have expressed reservations about the fact that i featured in my Birthday Celebration picture with NURTW Branch Chairman in Lagos state and others during a surprise birthday dinner organised for me by some of my Officers and Friends.

“Well, my religious beliefs and family orientation forbid me from discriminating against anyone, especially those who haven't been declared wanted or found guilty by any Court of Law. It is not in my character to make people feel less human. Never.

According to him, the occasion was his birthday dinner and not an official meeting meant for some specific persons.

He said, " Regardless of our status or position in life, we are all equal before our creator. Nobody should be made to feel inferior. "
