Police Team led by Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Zubairu Muazu, have paid condolence visit to the family of Kolade Johnson, a young man who was shot at Onipetesi, Mangoro Bus Stop by a team of Policemen from Anti Cultism unit.
The CP during the condolence visit on Tuesday reassured the Johnson’s family that justice must prevail as the Command has arrested the suspected team that carried out the shooting, adding that they are currently in Police custody undergoing interrogation.
The CP added that the suspected officers would be subjected to internal disciplinary procedures, and may be prosecuted in conventional Court if implicated by ongoing investigation.

Recall that Kolade — believed to be the only son of a widow — was killed after leaving a football viewing center where he watched English Premier League match between Liverpool and Tottenham on Sunday, after the men of the anti-cultism unit of the state police command raided the area.
Following the incident that happened on Sunday 31, March , around 5.05pm, the Command immediately drafted a team of policemen from the Rapid Response Squads and Metro patrol to the scene to arrest the sispects, after it received a distress call that Lagos- Abeokuta Express Way has been blocked by some angry youths who were protesting the shooting of one Kolade Johnson m of No.1 Beco street, Onipetesi, Mangoro Bus Stop by a team of Policemen from Anti Cultism units.

CP Zubairu Muazu however called for calm, assuring that justice will prevail in this case. He also condoles with the family, friends and well wishers of Kolade Johnson, promising to initiate far reaching reforms to help in repositioning the Anti Cultism Squad for effective service delivery, particularly in areas of respect for Human Rights and proficiency in the use of firearms.
The arrested officers according to the CP , are Insp Ogunyemi Olalekan and Sgt Godwin Orji attached to Anti Cultism Squad.
