Ooni of Ife, Alaafin of Oyo, Aseyin, others to grace coronation of Oba of Ajase Ile ( Port-Novo)

High ranking Yoruba traditional monarchs, including the Ooni of Ife , His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi ; Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, the Aseyin of Iseyin kingdom, Oba Abdul Ganiu Salau, former Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola and other top dignitaries are expected to grace the coronation of Oba Alhaji AbdulRamani Aderemi Sanni, as the new Alajase Onikoyi Abesan of Ajase Ile( Port Novo) Benin Republic.

Also billed to grace the occasion is His Excellency, Monsieur Guillaume Patrice Talon, President of Benin Republic, Emmanuel Oguntuase, Ambassador of Nigeria to Rep.Benin. and other top government and traditional officials in the country.

The Coronation of Onikoyi Abesan, Oba of Àjàṣẹ́ Ilé (Port Novo), Benin Republic, is billed to hold on Saturday, April 6, 2019.

Ajase Ile in Port Novo, is one of the franco-Yoruba Kingdom in Rep.Benin, that shares historical antecedents with their counterparts in Southwest, Nigeria, who are descendants of Oduduwa.

2019 Hajj: Six Nigerian pilgrims die in Saudi Arabia

A middle aged woman, pilgrim from Lagos State, slumped and died in the early hours of Sunday morning in Mecca during the devil stoning ritual at Jamarat Aqaba, outside Mina, thereby bringing the number of Nigerian pilgrims that have died in this year’s Hajj in Saudi Arabia to six(6). The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria confirmed the death of the Nigerian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia . Dr Ibrahim Kana , Chairman, National Medical Team, released the figure in Madinah from the commission ’s National Medical Team Electronic Health Medical Records. 6 more Abidjan returnees confirmed positive for Corona virus

Oredola Adeola Six(6) more Ivory Coast returnees to Ejigbo, a town in Osun State have tested positive for coronavirus, bringing the total number of cases in the state to 20 . Osun State, Commissioner for Health , Dr Rafiu Isamotu has confirmed to pressmen that all the 127 returnees had been tested and 18 of them had returned positive. Ealier, TheEditorialsng reported that Twelve(12) out of 127 Osun State returnees from Cote D'Ivoire heading to Ejigbo, a town in the state, have tested positive to the Corona virus . With the new development the number of positive cases in Osun has increased and have since been kept in the quarantine, while others who are in isolation are being tested. Investigation by our correspondent shows that some of the returnees in isolation had earlier played host to a few relatives under the cover of the night, which further raises the concern that more pesons may have contracted the deadly virus.
