Wale Ojo-Lanre takes over as Ekiti State's DG, Centre for Arts & Culture

 Mr. Wale Ojo-Lanre, on Monday resumed as the new Director-General, Ekiti State Council for Arts and  Culture. This is sequel to Governor Kayode Fayemi's approval of appointment of some Commissioners and Heads of Government agencies at the weekend.

Mr. Ojo-Lanre , a multiple award winning tourism journalist with Tribune Newspaper, was the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the former Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Segun Oni and was also a former Chairman of the Oyo State Chapter of National Union of Journalist ( NUJ).

The new DG, who is a distinguished member of the Institute for Tourism Professionals, is known for his unbridled passion for tourism sector and has written different articles and travelled to so many countries advancing  the interest of tourism industry as a viable source of income for the country.

In a chat with the Editorials, Wale Ojo Lanre, expressed his commitment to resuscitating and boosting cultural tourism in Ekiti State,  promising the arts and cultural sector in the state will under his watch witness creative and innovative improvement.

Apart from the appointment of Ojo-Lanre, Governor Fayemi ,also approved the appointment of some Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants with specific assignments.

While the appointments of nominees into statutory boards are subject to ratification by the Ekiti State House of Assembly, some of the appointees have resumed to their various offices with immediate effect.

Rosatom's TVEL, AllWeld Nuclear, industrial agree to cooperate nuclear backend area

Allen Atwiine, Uganda  The TVEL JSC, Managing Company of Rosatom's Fuel Division, and AllWeld Nuclear and Industrial, a South African firm, have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation which is focused on decommissioning and radioactive waste (RW) management at nuclear facilities in South Africa.
