Another lady found dead in Imo hotel

Following last week discovery of dead body of a lady at a hotel room in Port Harcourt, the body of another young lady has again been found during the weekend at a popular hotel along World Bank Road, Owerri, Imo State.

A source disclosed that the body of the deceased was discovered by a cleaner the following day under the bed naked.. The hotel management disclosed that the lady's belongings including her dress, underwear, phones and bag were carted away by her killer, thereby making her identification difficult.

This recent incident is similar in a way to the case of Maureen Ewuru, who was found dead in D Line hotel in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

A source at the scene told reporters that this is becoming a rising trend of murder of young ladies in recent times and pleaded for extreme caution especially among young girls.

Police authorities have suspected that this is a new mode of operation by ritualists, charging young ladies to be careful of men who takes them to hotels.

2019 Hajj: Six Nigerian pilgrims die in Saudi Arabia

A middle aged woman, pilgrim from Lagos State, slumped and died in the early hours of Sunday morning in Mecca during the devil stoning ritual at Jamarat Aqaba, outside Mina, thereby bringing the number of Nigerian pilgrims that have died in this year’s Hajj in Saudi Arabia to six(6). The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria confirmed the death of the Nigerian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia .
