The popular Ivorian music star, Ange Didier Houon, DJ Arafat, known for his distinctive “coupé-decalé” dance music has passed on a day after sustaining injuries from a motorbike accident on Sunday.
Reports from local news platforms showed that the music star was involved in a motorbike accident on Sunday, August 11, 2019, in Abidjan, the capital city of Ivory Coast.
He was admitted to hospital in the main city, Abidjan, with a fractured skull after his motorcycle collided with a car on Sunday. He was known for his love of motorcycles and featured them in his most recent hit, Moto Moto, that was released in May, which has more than four million YouTube views.
Popular music stars and celebrities have also been sharing their condolences, including Burma Boy, Davido , Juliet Ibrahim and fellow Ivorian rapper Kaari.
