Uganda Tourism Board lines up tourism experts, tour operators to market, promote its tourists potential at Akwaaba

Oredola Adeola | Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) has lined up top Ugandan Tour Operators and tourism experts for the promotion and marketing of its top tourist attractions to Nigerian travel Trade and travelers at the 15th Akwaaba, African Travel Market 2019. The rich pristine nature, cultural and historical African religious heritage will be the focus of discussion by the experts at the "Uganda Day" on Sunday, September 22, being the Day 1 of the three(3) days , African Travel market, scheduled to hold at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos, Nigeria.

Uganda is a landlocked country in East Africa whose diverse landscape straddles the equator with Lake Victoria (2nd largest lake in the world) forming part of its southern border. It is from the same lake that River Nile, the world longest river, starts its (4,258 miles)journey at Jinja 80km east Kampala.

According to statement from Uganda Tourism Board: "Very many wonderful things have been said about Uganda by various authors and travelers who have had the chance to visit, some talk about the charming weather natural resources, rich culture, and history while others talk about the lovely people whose hospitality is unmatched. Most quickly note the numerous beautiful birds, and other rare wildlife species that are only found in Uganda. All that is true but there is more!" "Uganda is the land of martyrs in Africa; this religious story is summarized in the Uganda Martyrs Trail. Its abundant wildlife includes the “BIG 5 "as well as a home to 1,072 bird species includes some of the rarest birds in the world. The Board however charged intending tourists to visit the world Heritage site of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a renowned mountain gorilla tracking life changing experience in Uganda. It said, " The white sands of Ssese Island, one of Uganda greatest and uncrowned beaches known for its tranquility that creates a perfect never ending honey moon experience located in Uganda portion of Lake Victoria. According to the Board, "Kampala the Capital city of Uganda a city in East Africa that never sleeps and has earned the title of entertainment capital In East Africa. "Fantastic wildlife and some of the friendliest people in Africa make Uganda unbeatable".

The Contractor , Craneburg Construction Company Ltd, began mobilizing its equipment to the site about 10 days ago, initiating palliative measures on one side of the road to ensure it remains passable while full-scale reconstruction commences on the opposite side. The interim repairs, which have already been carried out, span the Sango-Ota, Ilepa , Bosun , Pakoto, Ifo, Ewekoro, Itori, and Obada areas, with stone bases laid on the most deteriorated sections to ease the burden of travel during the construction period. Rosatom's TVEL, AllWeld Nuclear, industrial agree to cooperate nuclear backend area

Allen Atwiine, Uganda The TVEL JSC, Managing Company of Rosatom's Fuel Division, and AllWeld Nuclear and Industrial, a South African firm, have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation which is focused on decommissioning and radioactive waste (RW) management at nuclear facilities in South Africa. The memorandum was signed by the party during the African Energy Week (AEW) 2024 in Cape Town on Tuesday. Members of the Lagos State House of Assembly have commenced an impeach move against Governor Akinwunmi Ambode , alleging him of gross misconduct. Speaker LHA Rt.Hon.
