Baba Ibeju becomes Odole of Oduduwa nation

Oredola Adeola | His imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi conferred the dignified title of Odole -Oodua of the Source on Sir(Dr) Kensington Adebukunola Adebutu, Baba on Saturday, October 19, 2019. The Odole is a special office which works closely with the Ooni in rallying the descendants of Oduduwa wherever they are in the world for unity, peace and progress of the race. Baba Ijebu as he is fondly called is the forth Orole after Chief G.O.K Ajayi. His predecessors including the Late G.O Fabunmi, late Chief Obafemi Awolowo and Chief G.O.K Ajayi. His duty aa the Orole Oodua is to work for the unity and progress of Yoruba people and the larger Oduduwa race worldwide. Earlier the new Orole rode on a chariot from the Palace to IGBO EEDE where he received several traditional processes like Oranmiyan, The event featured the high and mighty in the Oduduwa Nation. Present at the event was VP Yemi Osinbajo, Governor of Ogun State , Dapo Abiodun, Governor of Osun State , Governor of Lagos State , Babajide Sanwoolu, Minister of Interior , Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Senator Remi Tinubu , Senator Babafemi Ojodu, Hon.Ladi Adebutu to mention but a few.

Wikimedia Nigeria Foundation honours Folorunsho Coker, Kayode Akintemi

Oredola Adeola Wikimedia Nigeria Foundation has honoured Mr. Folorunsho Coker, Director-General of National Tourism Development Commission (NTDC) and Kayode Akintemi, Managing Director, Plus TV Africa, with Distinguished Personality Award for their contributions to the growth and development of open knowledge in Nigeria. The award ceremony was held at the Plus TV Africa studio in Victoria Island, Lagos at the weekend.
