#MAYA7.0: Lateef Adedimeji, Cakes Master, MOB foundation win big at 2019 MAYA Award

Oredola Adeola| Actor Lateef Adedimeji, Damilola Ogunsi, MTV Presenter, Sammy Walsh, MOB Foundation , Da Cakes Master are some of the biggest winners at the just concluded Moreklue All Youth Award, MAYA Awards Africa held at the Lekki Events Center , Victoria Island, Lagos on Sunday, November 17, 2019. Lateef Adedimeji emerged as the Best Actor with his role in Borokini, a longest and biggest Yoruba telenovela the country produced by Rare Edge Limited. Another actor, Damilola Ogunsi, fondly called " Goldfish" emerged as Best Actor. Music artist Emex EOT, emerged as Industry Cynosure. Seun Oke's Da Cakes Master won award for the second time in a roll as confectionery brand of the year, while Olowoshibi emerged as Culinary brand of the year. Thread & Feet won award as the footwear brand. Mariam Onikijipa Belgore MOB Foundation won award in the humanitarian of the year. MTV Base's delectable VJ, Sammy Walsh, emerged as TV personality of the year. Hon. Shina Peller, Member House of Representatives representing Iseyin / Itesiwaju / Iwajowa/ Kajola (Oyo State ) Federal Constituency and Director of Aquila Group of Companies and Club Quilox got an honourary award. Other winners are Doyinsweet Fabrics ( Fabric purveyors award) Davey shapes emerged as Fashionpreneur ( Designer) Amanda Dara Afolabi won award as Red Carpet host. Abimbola Balogun, CEO , So Presh , emerged as Female CEO of the year. Ololade Abuta , Director of Geacias Property won award as the Property Development Company of the year. Reenmas Makeover won award as Make-over brand of the year. Crystal looks emerged as Makeup brand of the year Lhola:s place & Spa emerged as Med Spa brand of the year. Kiekie emerged as the fashion stylist of the year The movie " The Reunion " emerged as Nollywood viewers' choice. Speaking during the award ceremony , Ademola Ajibola, Founder/Project CEO for MoreKlue All Youth Awards Africa, MAYA AWARDS, described the 7th edition award as significant award ceremony coming few days after his birthday celebration. He disclosed that award business in Nigeria is like every other sectors, adding that the award ceremony has served as a platform to celebrate personalities, brands and organisations that have toiled so hard doing extra ordinary things in their field of operations. He said, " We have decided to step up our game by launching MAYAvoc to empower entrepreneurs across institution of learning in Nigeria. " We have decided in partnership with our partners to give N200,000 each to two entrepreneurs who hàve distinguished themselves."

Oredola Adeola Wikimedia Nigeria Foundation has honoured Mr. Folorunsho Coker, Director-General of National Tourism Development Commission (NTDC) and Kayode Akintemi, Managing Director, Plus TV Africa, with Distinguished Personality Award for their contributions to the growth and development of open knowledge in Nigeria. The award ceremony was held at the Plus TV Africa studio in Victoria Island, Lagos at the weekend.
