A tanker carrying 33,000 litre of Diesel fell and exploded at Barracks bus stop, Ojo military cantonment, along Mile 2, off Badagry expressway on Wednesday morning, resulting in the death of no fewer than two persons, while five vehicles were burnt, with several wounded.

Traffic on the ever busy  Mile 2 / Badagry expressway has been completely brought to standstill, forcing commuters to come down from public vehicles to cross the scene of the accident to continue their journey.

Residents and eye witness attributed the tanker accident to the bad portions of the Apapa/Mile 2/ Badagry road network, according to them similar incidents had happened in the past
