President Muhammadu Buhari has compensated former Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun with another cabinet slot, by appointing one of his loyalists in the state, Barr. Adeleke Adewolu, the immediate past Commissioner for Special Duties in Ogun State and APM House of Representative for Ifo/ Ewekoro Federal Constituency as the Executive Commissioner (Stakeholder Management) Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC)
Barrister Adewolu now replaces Sunday Dare, former spokesman of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu who is now a minister designate. He was the special assistant to former Senate President Ken Nnamani, on legal and legislative matters (2005-2007).
His appointment was with immediate effect, while awaiting Senate endorsement.
In a statement released on Tuesday by Garba Shehu, senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity, Adeleke Moronfolu Adewolu's appointment is part of replacement made for Heads of Federal Government agencies some of whom were recently appointed as ministers.
Among the replacements announced by the President are:-
Sen. Basheer Garba Mohammed now appointed Federal Commissioner, National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons is to replace Sadiya Umar Farouk.
Dr. Chioma Ejikeme appointed as Executive Secretary, Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate, replacing Sharon O. Ikeazor, while Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi is now Director General/CEO, National Information Technology Development Agency.
