Egba people propose N600m Memorial Hall for Lisabi

The Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, has revealed plan by the Egba people in Ogun State to construct N600million Abeokuta City Hall in memory of late Lisabi Agbongbo-Akala, the liberator of Egbaland, who died mysteriously over ten decades ago. Oba Gbadebo made this known during a press conference in preparation for the 34th Lisabi Festival with the theme, Culture: A Panacea for Sustainable Socio- Economic Development of Egbaland, billed to hold from February 24 to March 1, 2020. The monarch, who affirmed that the family house of the late Egba warrior is located in Igbein area of Abeokuta, declared that the history of Egbaland is incomplete without reference to the late warrior who he said liberated the Egbas from series of wars launched against them by the Old Oyo. Wikimedia Nigeria Foundation honours Folorunsho Coker, Kayode Akintemi

Oredola Adeola Wikimedia Nigeria Foundation has honoured Mr. Folorunsho Coker, Director-General of National Tourism Development Commission (NTDC) and Kayode Akintemi, Managing Director, Plus TV Africa, with Distinguished Personality Award for their contributions to the growth and development of open knowledge in Nigeria. The award ceremony was held at the Plus TV Africa studio in Victoria Island, Lagos at the weekend. Mr. Olaniyan Olushola, President, Wikimedia Nigeria Foundation Inc., while congratulating the award recipients, encouraged them to continue to promote open knowledge in Nigeria. Lagos govt. orders public primary schools to vacate by Friday, December 6

The Lagos State Government has instructed Pre-Primary and Primary schools in the state to vacate on Friday , December 6, 2019 for the first term 2019/2020 and resume on January 20, 2020 for second term 2019/2020 session. The adjustment in the academic calendar was announced by the state government through the State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, in a circular signed by Mrs. M. A Folami, Acting Director, School Support Services for Executive Chairman, SUBEB, on November 27, 2019. According to Mrs Folami, the measure has become necessary because the Public Pre-Primary School and Primary School Head Teachers and Teachers would be attending Eko Excel Pre Service Professional Development and Technology Training programme between December 2019 and January 2020. Border Closure: Obasanjo blames Rep.Benin for being notorious

Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo has bemoaned the government of Benin Republic for its notoriety regarding bilateral relationship between the two countries. President Obasanjo made this known on Tuesday, in Addis Ababa while speaking on the margins of Policy Dialogue of African Business Associations on Implementing the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Agreements. In the annals of history of the prophetic ministry, both in the days of the Bible and in our present days, events all point to the fact that God still speaks to his true prophets. There are all sorts of folks going about town with all kinds of appellation. They do all sorts of things bringing disrepute to the name of God and specifically to the prophetic calling. God is not happy with this class of folks. However, the proof that the original of a thing is in existence is mostly validated by having the counterfeits around. If you see the counterfeits, that shows that the original is in existence, you don't counterfeit, counterfeits, you can only make a counterfeit of the original.
