INEC sets to postpone Presidential election, as Presidency storms INEC Hqtr

There are intense lobby on the Independent National Election Commission ( INEC) to postpone the Presidential election scheduled to hold on Saturday, February 16, as the INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmoud Yakubu, has summoned an emergency meeting with Resident Electoral Commissioners ( REC) and other stakeholders.

The Editorials gathered that the stakeholders meeting is summoned against the backdrop of the inability of the Commission to distribute electoral materials to Niger , Ekiti, Edo and other states.

As at the period of filing this report, vehicles from the Presidency have arrived at the INEC Headquarter.
