A double from Paul Pogba, either side of a brilliant Anthony Martial goal, propelled Manchester United  to a comfortable 3-0 away win  into the top four, which will last at least until Chelsea visit Manchester City on Sunday.

The Red's confident mood which may be sealed on Sunday after the Man City-Chelsea tie, will send the Reds into Tuesday's Champions League last-16 tie against Paris Saint-Germain.

This consistent clean record at the Old Trafford, look good for  Solskjaer, as this puts him in a good position to negotiate a permanent job with the Red Devils, because he has met virtually everything that was asked of him when he took over in December.

According to him, "It's not about making a case for me to stay. Of course Manchester United is the place to be, everyone wants to be here and would love it.

"But my job description was, until the summer, get us playing in a certain way, get the mood back, get results - of course, I love every single minute of it and I'll take whatever comes when it comes.

"It's not just about putting smiles on faces, but that is a big part of it. Making sure you come into training looking forward to the next day and enjoy what you're doing. That's what we're trying to do at the moment,” the Red Devil’s Norwegian Manager said.
